I am a member of newport school and it is the best school EVER. It has a library, a go wild area, a nursery, a courtyard which is decorated beautifully, it has more then 500 children in it and it has a huge hall with giant projectors and a little music room and a staff room the size of all of the rooms in my house put together, it has it's own kitchen for pupils to cook in and a cool adventure playground wit swings a big wooden boat a balance type thing and loads more stuff. It has a climbing wall, three playgrounds for the little ones' a gigantic field, a small bottom playground and a huge top playground. The teachers there are so nice and I has a cairb which is really big and fun for children with special needs. We have loads of clubs after school and we are a very athletic school. The best school in barnstaple id say.
Newport school was thew best!!!! ❤❤❤

The members of staff here are amazing. They teach really well. Littering was an issue but the new rules that have been put in place are slowing the amount of litter at our school. I think we should change our motto and get rid of the core values. Also, there should be more academically based house matches. For example at the end of last year there was a massive quiz where all the houses got a top student for each topic to compete against other house in front of everyone. It was so much fun, (especially because my house won). I think the sport house matches segregate those who are good and those who aren't therefore not everyone can take part. But overall the schools sports and academics are very good and grades are above average for most.
There's more benches then students. They lock the gates when we arrive so we can't leave. We're forced to eat in an confined area. 100% recommend this school
