Braunton Rd, Barnstaple EX31 1LE, UK – 01271 376221
We visited as part of stay with family in Devon. Took our two children swimming using the indoor and outdoor pool, both of which are heated and we all had a great time. Facilities are well kept and look newly refurbished, food after was very nice also. Would thoroughly recommend.
Bit of a difficult one for me to review. The actual hotel looks as if it would be the perfect set for a 1970s sitcom, whole place is very dated. No lifts. Parking is ample though. I stayed in room number 38, avoid this one if you can, TV was on the blink, but was swapped reasonably quickly. Hardly any power sockets & actually none by bed. Now here's where I get stumped, the restaurant is actually excellent, one of the best eateries I have eaten at in 2017. The lamb for the main was fantastic & the white chocolate cheesecake was superb. Brekkie in the morning did not disappoint either, it was great. In conclusion, avoid room 38, only stay here if your a fan of Fawlty Towers, but make sure you come & eat here, the food & staff are excellent.

Location convenient, close to shops and town and easy to find. Reception was welcoming and the room was clean and spacious. It is close to the road but I couldn't hear any traffic noise that bothered me. Information was given about the local area on check in, which was really handy. Although some other guests were noisy overnight, this was dealt with promptly and professionally by members of staff. Overall, our stay was just what we wanted - a quick and convenient stop.
Excellent location just 10 mins drive to different beaches, food and shops really close by. Room a good size, only a fridge missing.
Taw Vale, Barnstaple EX32 8NB, UK – 01271 345861
A very clean hotel with well appointed rooms. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts plentiful and good quality. Good location for exploring North Devon.
Lovely hotel but rooms on ground floor suffer from noisy floorboards above. Breakfast is very nice with a good choice available. Location is ideal close to town and a few pubs. Staff are very kind and helpful. Beds are a little tired. The double is two singles pushed together but the mattresses each dip in the middle and creak a little.
55 Boutport St, Barnstaple EX31 1SH, UK – 01271 344477
Love going there, the food is amazing and the staff are all very welcoming and friendly. It's quite a cozy place but feels quite upmarket at the same time. The menu has plenty of choice and you'll be wanting to order more than one dish per course!
A beautiful looking resturant with absolutely delicious food. We had starters, mains and a dessert and everything tasted nothing but perfect. Very fresh and cooked just right. The staff and service was fantastic. Very welcoming, nice and proffesional. The price was very fair for the whole experience. Can't think of anything that wasn't less the perfect in our visit. Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere, kind staff and amazingly fast service. The app avalible to use makes the experience even easier and i would 100% recommend. Fabulous place to stop while shopping or to have a great meal and meet up with friends. The food is amazing and to a very high quality. The desserts are heaven. Love the water gate
Can't comment much about the pub inside as we sat outside. We did go to the bar to order and we were served pretty quickly, I used the ladies which was very clean ( lovely mirrors!!) I had the chicken skewers with the Mexican rice, really nice and served with a good side salad, my friends had tomato soup which they said was good, also the fish and chips. All very good for the price.

Rosie and I stayed at Jane's B&B at No.2 Broadgate, Bellaire for 7 nights and it was the best! The huge bedroom and bathroom were beautiful, we felt so relaxed. We pampered ourselves in the gorgeous bathtub with the luxurious toiletries supplied. The breakfasts were delicious and easy, we met some interesting and lovely people in the breakfast room. Jane was also very helpful in suggesting some lovely walks around Barnstaple. We had a great time there and if we are in the UK again we will certainly go there. Thanks Jane.
An incredible B&B with impeccable service and style I stayed here for a week to visit family and friends. What an absolutely stunning B&B. From the moment you walk through those gates into the pretty hidden courtyard you are transported into a world of luxury and pampering. The room I chose was the largest room I have ever stayed in and the bathroom was nearly as big as my whole flat at home. I just cant wax lyrical enough about this little place - 10/10 , perfection just sums it up. If you are thinking of staying here all I can say is DO IT!!! you won't be disappointed. This is Bed and Breakfast at its finest and I will definitely be back for more. Thanks guys!

Prixford EX31 4DX, UK – 01271 321570
Too isolated for us. Not as we expected very close to owners house with just cars as a view. TV very small and hardly any channels. No WI-FI which increases the isolation. Owner very helpful but just not for us.
A beautiful spot, so peaceful and quiet. My wife and I arrived late on a friday night after a long drive and the hostess was so welcoming, greeting us with a log fire. The breakfast was stunning and plentiful! We will be back!!
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Brightlycott Farm, Shirwell, Barnstaple EX31 4JJ, UK – 01271 850330
We love this campsite and have been many times. It's so close to Barnstaple and yet feels remote enough to forget. The owner, Charles, is super friendly and amazingly remembers almost everyone's name each year! The toilet block is clean and the washing-up area has fridge (free to use), a washing machine (free to use) and a tumble dryer (paid). The play area is small but that encourages people to play together with other children. There's also a barn with table tennis and table football.
Spent bank holiday weekend here. A beautiful place lovely views & brilliant weather!! Deff will be going back.
